List of things to accomplish

Was looking through the old blog, all the way back in 2008 and I came across a list of things I'd like to accomplish. I must admit how naive and silly I was OMG! Can't help stifling giggles, especially number 6 HAHAHAHAHAHA. Here's some sneak peek, hmm but not a sneak peak really. Lists of things I wanna accomplish before I die: (not in any particular order) 1) Get my bachelor's degree (and honours too hopefully) 2) Get Masters 3) Learn French (on the way on the way!), Spanish, Latin, Mandarin and Korean. 4) See a kickass concert (and I wanna do crowd surfing) 5) Own an entire collection of my favourite movies and music! 6) Be kissed in the rain (or rather have my first special kiss) 7) Skinny-dip 8) Climb a mountain (beginning with the highest mountain in Asia) 9) Be passionately and deeply in love  10) Get married to the soulmate 11) Own a home of my own with the beautiful kids  12) If I stay in Singapore I'd wanna stay in the West...

Nasality

This Ratatouille soundtrack puts me to good mood :) I've been thinking about how these French people can sound so nasal all the time, even when they speak English. I even thought about how it could possibly be a trait in their genes that has been passed down from generations to generations. I know this is way too random a thing to think about, but what triggered this was the flu bug that attacked me about a couple of weeks ago which had me go all nasal for almost about a week. And so after I had my french debate, it suddenly hit me how the nasality of one's voice can perfect one's french accent. Do I have to be sick to sound nasal!? Lol. Ok I have WAY too many stories to tell, stories accumulated from more than a weeks' worth of tales during recess week all the way to the exam week. Friday shall be the day I'll look forward to. Meanwhile, I am so loving mugging sessions with rui qi, joy and jiayee; we crack each other up almost every other time :D

Then, and now

You know, the bad thing about not having the time to blog is that, I keep relying on the "save drafts" option, which obviously haven't been good at producing entries for a month! Well for obvious reasons, it's either I lost the mood to continue where I left off, or that I couldn't bring myself to sort out my thoughts well. So I shall give a summary/accumulated/condensed version of what's been written on my "save drafts"; - How much I have to read my psych texts - How heavy my eyelids were while doing so - How fast time flies - Eid - Being known as the "polar bear" by the MNO tutor, sheesh - Sat for a French listening comprehension test without knowing it was on that day, double sheesh - Universal Studios - Best popcorn bought, everrr. Voila, saves lotsa words ain't it? So that while I'm here I can blog about more recent things. So finally, I am so over and done with the mid-terms. Of course the pending presentations are still not d...

Of soccer and lots of free time

All I can say is Toy Story 3 is beyond awesome! It did a good closure and a wrap-up for the Toy Story sequels. And yes, partings are always sad (I'm referring to the last bit where Andy had to go for college), and AIMAN had to spoil the natural tears by saying "So, this is the part you're gonna cry?" So I didn't. Yesterday I went for another volunteering session at autism partnership. Since the kids had their 2-week break, I feel like it's been ages since I've been there. Anyway, it was quite cool to see their pleasurable faces when they jumped onto the tiny trampoline. It's as if the looks are the kind that say that if I don't do the same I'm missing out so much in life. Ok exaggeration again. But yeah knowing that it cannot possibly hold my weight, I have this sudden urge to really jump on a huge one. And have a terrific time just like the kids. As for the World Cup, I'm hoping for a Holland VS Germany finals. I think that the Germans had...

The Downfall

OMG JUSTIN BIEBER DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IS GERMAN? Unbelievable! I love The Downfall parodies. They use this video for almost every single thing, about the CAP system, Kanye West dissing Taylor Swift, there's even one for the recent flood at Orchard Road LOL.

My Saturday

Visualize a baby bottle, you know, with the pacifier and all that. Apparently I have a natural knack of being picked to do silly things. It was Sangi's awesome 21st birthday party last night at Sentosa. And one of the games during the party consists of 'quenching one's thirst' by drinking a baby bottle full of coke. The first one to finish the bottle wins. YES, I WAS CHOSEN TO DO THAT. OMG! My mouth was sore halfway through the game. I never intended to win this (against 4 other competitors), because firstly, I hate coke but since this is warm coke it was pretty alright though, and secondly, to drink from a BABY BOTTLE? Why, I must applaud Sangi's awesome sister for coming up with such creative games haha. Am really magnetic towards the whole notion of sillyness but then again, that is probably a part of me. Anyway, I feel the excitement of the youth olympics game already! Because I had my first training cum bonding session with the rest of the NOC assistants yester...

Work musings

My job involves keying in data, but what's more important are the details being keyed beneath this no-brainer job. In fact, it's saddening because I have to look through application papers for social assistance and financial help from mostly the broken families, or families with a deceased parent, or children with a parent serving his/her imprisonment, or abandoned kids born out of wedlock and whom their grandparents have to take reponsibilities for. It's even sadder to imagine these young children being exposed to such turmoil at the early stages of their lives. Anyway, before I get too attached to this, my newfound colleague just had me laughing throughout the whole afternoon so much that I had to suppress as much as I can from my usual laughing outbursts. After expressing how saddening some family situations are, she told me that she has seen even sadder cases as she worked in some social assistance centre before. And this was when the joke came in. She explained how she...

Laissez les bons temps rouler

Some things just had to be mentioned! Like say, last Friday night I went out with a bunch of crazy french class friends. Initially I had been studying and then around dinnertime, these crazy wackos were going for dinner (and I was still contemplating). So this Nicolas&Amey went to find me just to convince me and they LIED to me so that I would go out with them, saying that it was Yvonne's 21st "birthday"! So I obliged ok mainly because I did want to have some fun before the reading week and also because of the birthday! It was only at Ben&Jerry's that I found out it was a prank! IT WASN'T ANYONE'S BIRTHDAY! Tsk LOL. THANKS MAN guys haha! But I did have so much fun! And I totally have to mention this incident! We squeezed seven people in the car (so there were 5 of us sardined at the back!). This reminded me so much of India because we squeezed it SIX people in the tiny, auto rickshaw a few times! Suffocating to the max hee. Anyway, during the ride, Nic...

Holidays coming to an end, for now

Gosh, I totally lost track of days. It's Thursday and I'm still thinking it's the earlier part of the week. It's 18th February and I'm still thinking it's the earlier bit of February! This is nuts. Probably because I've been playing more than studying. And perhaps I'm avoiding the two-one subconciously. Anyway gathering at Alvin's was a blast. I'm really glad that I've made really awesome friends from french classes. I reckon we can probably just have a meet-up just because without any specific expectations or agenda, and we can make the most out of it, mostly by laughing and talking. We did those exactly on Tuesday. Heaps of fun. And then myself, nuurun, nicholas, amey, alvin & wangjue headed to Simpang Bedok and then Arab Street just to chill (again, I know) and we had crazy fun. We played Indian Poker (AMEY hasn't heard of the game before, ironic!) and then charades. Charades was the best because Amey finds it SO hard to do actions...

Ola!

Hello! My tuition kid postponed my tuition to an hour later so am here to steal some time to blog. If you're wondering, yes, I did go down to PS to see Lee Min Ho at Etude House. And if you've already known or read from the news, yes, he didn't turn up! Why? Because it was uber friggin' crowded to the max, and due to security reasons he couldn't come in. It was seriously crowded, like the whole of B1 level was filled and there were so many other people on every other level too! God. But isn't it sad?! The ambassador of Etude House could not even enter the small little shop he was supposed go to. In the first place, they shouldn't even hold the event at Singapore freaking Plaza! So after several times they announced to the whole mob that the event was cancelled, people started to go off. At first many insisted on staying because they actually thought that LMH would still come once the crowd dissipates. But of course not. So they decided to give out free goodi...

((:

Let's talk about absurdity. I had a dream a few days ago. And it was all about how I was given a lift in a mini cooper. Except that the mini cooper wasn't mini at all. When I peeked inside, there was a few rows of chairs, those of you see in movie theatres, and people were all filling up the seats. So funny! It was as though we were all going for a ride together. On that same night I had a nightmare, but when I woke up I only remembered remembering this dream about the colossal mini cooper, lmao. There was this other time when I was on the bus with alvin and jessie, and I was eating a date. I was offering jessie the date but she refused. So I said, "I know why you don't wanna eat the date, cos you think it looks like a cockroach right!" Then I heard this snigger from a boy in the bus who overheard our conversation, he was laughing about what I said! Then I realised how ludicrous of the idea of date looking like a cockroach. I think I kind of recalled once upon a t...

laughter

The first and the last one is damn funny HAHHAHAHA. LOL. I don't know what in the world this german lady was tickled with but it's contagious anyway. OMG, HORRIBLE CAN. The guy in yellow, that's really his laughter. He's from this clip called "Dad at comedy barn" something like that. And the last woman, hahhahaha, animal-sounding laughter? HAHA so mean, but their reaction funny.

Riding the highs

We had a meeting/planning session for our next NUSHA trip in December to India at Nuurun's (hopefully when the times comes I'll really be going). T'was pure fun. Apart from getting things done we shared really nonsensical stuffs causing all those uproarious laughter. As usual. Anyway I decided to take 51 from Hougang all the way to jurong east, I should have thought twice before getting on it because it was a bloody long journey though I enjoyed the 1.5 hours ++ but still it's long and I never wanted to be home any sooner. What with all these weird people who had to contemplate (longer than average) to which seats they wanted to sit on. I've never seen anyone contemplated so hard for that. Anyhow, the funniest thing upon getting onto the upper deck was that I received a call from Aalok, which I just bidded goodbye to about 2 minutes ago from the interchange. And he started saying that he was on a bus right behind my bus. Then guess what? We ended up like waving fran...

When you need moolahs

I reckon that I don't have to get pissed drunk (like, God forbids) just to get high. Throughout the bus ride on the Night Rider with aiman & khai, we were totally in heaps of laughter till the end of it. Bloody twerps. And they claimed that I haven't taken my medication. Me: Daym, I missed the pj times. Khai: Then? Go buy the newspaper la! FTW! And then we were talking about this girl called Constance. Aiman: I don't think there are much changes to her right now, she's constance what. WTH! Seriously! Anyway I think what qeen said about the cheesy wedding picture of ron and hermione below being guffaw-worthy is true. HAHAHAHA. But well, I'm just giving a peep on what's in store for them in the future. Funny, why did they do that photoshoot anyway? It seems that life has temporarily gone to a halt, still but moving. When you have nothing in store for the day, when you can spend hours in front of the tv, and just doing nothing in particular, when you go out...
