The simple pleasures in life

In no particular order: Making someone smile Seeing strangers smile back at you Rolling your tongue over heavily syrup-coated Baklavas from Turkey Basking under the Sun on the Lazy River like a boss Deep conversations 1-to-1 McNuggets Baking something for the first time and then eating your very own product immediately the moment you've done your finishing touches Licking cheese cream frosting from your index finger from a very fine tupperware Watching Bean movie with the sister and laughing away as if it was the first time watching it Taking your time to shop and trying on every single apparel you love as if you own the hours on the clock, on a perfect weekday Roaming Town alone and going anywhere you want to Seeing how your unread, good books are piling up and loving the idea of books waiting on you Spending late nights just talking Getting out from the bed to drag yourself for breakfast dates Heading to the airport not only to send/fetch people, but really to just be at the air...

Never Let Me Go

I know I haven't been blogging for at least a month. Falling sick is indeed a double-edged sword cos for one, I have a reason to slow down and rest. I realised I haven't done some of the things I totally deserve, like catching up on Glee, and perhaps this blog, which I've been neglecting a lot, woops. There has been a lot of good music lately. I chanced into this one. Nearly screamed cos it's REGINA SPEKTOR MEETS RADIOHEAD! She did a cover on 'No Surprises'. Awesome or what!? Regina, please come to Singapore!! If it's anyone, it should be her because she's an exquisite singer. So on updates, there has been a lot going on lately. Deadlines, assignments, presentations. A traumatizing encounter with a stranger. And, a sudden death of a friend. May he rest in peace. Dear God, please heal the people who love him and may they move on with their lives for in Hereafter, we shall all meet again. Death has been a looming subject at one point of time. It has ingrai...

Of friends and love

Aalok just told me that the principal of Nai Disha school told him how my Class 5 kids love the pictures pasted on the notebook (with our personalized messages) we gave them. This really made me miss them so so badly. I'm really thankful that they appreciate what we did. Sigh. If I ever am an Indian national who speaks fluent Hindi, I could just help them, and hopefully they are all able to proceed up academically. If I could send messages through the air, leaves and trees, I'd send many many misses to them right now. Eva's 21st birthday party today. I hope it was a success, it was a good experience planning and executing it. Woa, can be one hair-pulling activity but I totally love planning for something that's totally worth it, yes Eva? :DDDD Love ya many many my dearest :D

The saboteur!

Last night was another good night. It felt like it was a well-deserved night before embarking on the usual mugging towards the finals (eek). So met up with the usuals and we did numerous activities until like really really early morning. Dinner at Pizza Hut at Vivo, went to Mount Faber and Henderson Waves after that, then headed to Swensens at Holland Village for ice-cream (because zab has free coupons for free ice creams, isn't it just awesome?!), wanted to catch 1 am movie, but missed the timing, so headed to BB macs which is nearer to most of our homes, and played this card game Aiman bought last week called 'Saboteur'. T'was seriously an addictive game and one of the most amusing things to see was the lengths we could go to plead and beg to be "unblocked". Damn funny game! Anyway R (I got influenced by your anonymity in your blogspots, haha sounds like gossip girl) I feel the same way about what you said! Like I'm totally grateful for the two Js and yo...

Love is splendid

Hana showed me this Love blog which inspires me with all the love in the world. Love is beautiful, be it with your family, with your crazy friends, with your boyfriend, with your cat, anyone and anything at all. Got this picture from there. I'M GONNA MISS YOU HANA WHEN YOU GO TO SWEDEN! :(
