Apres une semaine..

Some weekends can just be.. that. I love Wednesdays simply because of the lectures (cognitive and personality). Great lecturers we have. Personality's fun, can't believe the lecturer claimed himself not to be humourous when he could do unique extraordinary things that lighten up the atmosphere; like throwing his stuffed toy to the audience and whoever caught it had to answer questions (like filling in the blanks from his lecture notes) and randomly picking 5 names from the lecture group to do some personality ranking demonstration. We all freaked out, in a good way, lol. Met up with bala, lina & aishah on Wednesday. Was awesome meet-up, it was like taking a walk back to the memory lane because we were talking about all the things that happened in secondary school! Crushes, how some of them really made us swoon (geez), who's with who, charming-looking teachers (Mr R & Mr S!), the bi-atches of the school, hilarious antics (of Mr G & Mrs K), how we always slacked o

Sourire

Smile Though your heart is aching Smile Even though it's breaking When there are clouds In the sky, You'll get by If you smile Through your fear and sorrow Smile And maybe tomorrow You'll see the sun Come shining through For you Light up your face with gladness Hide every trace of sadness Although a tear May be ever so near That's the time You must keep on trying Smile What's the use of crying? You'll find that life Is still worthwhile If you just smile Keep on smiling Oh yeah Smile Never, never, never stop smile Smile

Of friends and love

Aalok just told me that the principal of Nai Disha school told him how my Class 5 kids love the pictures pasted on the notebook (with our personalized messages) we gave them. This really made me miss them so so badly. I'm really thankful that they appreciate what we did. Sigh. If I ever am an Indian national who speaks fluent Hindi, I could just help them, and hopefully they are all able to proceed up academically. If I could send messages through the air, leaves and trees, I'd send many many misses to them right now. Eva's 21st birthday party today. I hope it was a success, it was a good experience planning and executing it. Woa, can be one hair-pulling activity but I totally love planning for something that's totally worth it, yes Eva? :DDDD Love ya many many my dearest :D

Selon moi et mon amie

You know what really makes some people stand out from the rest so brilliantly? Apart from their niceness, they would sincerely look into your eyes when they speak. As if all their attention is on you, absolute no care about the surroundings, making sure you feel more than just a participant in a conversation, making sure you feel connected. And as cliche as it sounds, your eyes suddenly become the windows to your soul, open and allowing. As if these people can easily see you and your bare soul, exposed. Perhaps not in an intimidated fashion but in the most comfortable way ever to know you. And also, genuinely wearing a nice smile. Attractive? Yes. And while other people are noticing this attractive demeanor, they remain oblivious not knowing how beautiful they shine. As if the way they engage with people is their natural talent. Just like a star. And throughout 20 years of my life, I have met less than a few people who captured my heart in such a way. Perhaps for a few minutes of my li

He who do not ask is a fool

I believe that there are always reasons and explanations to everything. This belief I've held onto have stayed on with me ever since the first time my mother imbued the love for mathematics in me. From simple sums to complicated ones as you climb up the educational ladder. Yes, I love mathematics simply because I know that it's impossible to not solve a problem, because there are always answers to them. And if the answers don't seem to jump at you, there are always means to finding solutions to solve the problem and there are explanations to why they are so. Afterall, why do we call them "problem sums" if there aren't answers? This is the cue when you come in to seek the correct answers you are looking for because you know it's possible. I'm not a math major now though, but that's a different story altogether. I believe that this theory goes beyond mathematical sums. Problem-solving can be applied everywhere, and thus, my thirst to seek answers and

Random Things

Nothing really beats friends being the prime reason to why school is fun. Because school has been fun and I hope, every other day too. Serviced the laptop (which died on me last night) and it's fine now. I cannot imagine myself competing with 4 other people under this roof for that one shared computer teehee! (: Where art thou, my French Textbook? Jeez, I have to find it before lecture next Tuesday. If not, ah, merde! Being on campus = Hello teriyaki chicken pasta, chicken panggang, chocolate mints, strawberry soursoup juice, blueberry tart, fish asam pedas, carbonara, egg/tuna sandwiches, curry puffs. Ran into Chem teacher back in JC in engine school today, what a place to see him. Stomach mechanisms still screwed. Was wondering if you will progressively enjoy eating things you abhor now (eg. green peas, long beans, brinjal) as you age. Why do adults eat yucky things? Note to self: Refrain eating when there is not a need to = Whenever I am NOT hungry Drive: Save some moolahs Bel

I don't wanna run away

And I hope you are the one I share my life with And I wish that you could be the one I die with And I'm praying you're the one I build my home with I hope I love you all my life - If you're not the one, Daniel Beddingfield This song really swooned me when I was still 14 (: This entry is just because. Nice lyrics.

Semestre Deux

Do you know what day today is? First day of school of the second semester! Do I sound excited? I do? Ah, prolly a bit excited, need to get the brain working again! This semester's modules: - Cognitive Psychology - Health Psychology - Personality & Individual Differences - French - Singapore Society Woohoo, school starts at 4 pm today. And every start of a new semester always involves Vivo City after school (:

Les films

This is a good movie, beyond telling! Non-stop laughter for 3 hours, with a pinch of emotional bit towards the end. Aamir Khan is just a fantastic actor! And not to mention, charming! His movie Taare Zameen Par is also good, he played as an inspiring art teacher (: And I HIGHLY recommend you to watch this. Like I said this is awesome, but saying all these won't justify how good this movie is. And I've recently watched this too, the final French DVD out of the ones Sitt lent to me. Boy, I took more than a semester to finish. Blame school haha. Yes this movie has a great deal of gore, not bloody though just violent. And the whole concept of it is unique but scary. Betting on the lives of others. Never heard of, which I think makes it a one interesting movie. Next french movies to watch: - L'auberge Espagnole (A Spanish apartment) - À la folie... pas du tout (He loves me, he loves me not)

For all ladies

Innocence is brilliant

I love this Canon ad! Perhaps it's because of the song which I like. I love her second album Under My Skin (and yes I'm biased because my camera is Canon). I think Orchard Road seriously needs lighting. Have you seen it after they took down the Christmas lights? The whole street just look plain and dead. Maybe I was there pretty late and it was a weekday (plus Monday, first day of school). But I think it could do better with some lights, I really love the Christmas lights! Feels like some fairy tale setting but guess not, with the crowd and everything (= distorted fairytale). But at least we'll have our own Champs-Elysees in Orchard with the lightings though. Can you believe that I've never taken up the 11-storey escalators at Orchard Central before? And what's worse, I cannot believe I was a bit scared when we got higher, like sheesh! It was 11 pm, and I dragged aishah to do this with me while the roads were empty. But it was nice! We went all the way up till the g

2010

Although this might sound too slow (yeah I know it is), Happy New Year! 2010 sounds like a pretty good year, and I shall usher it in with a positive note. 2009 has been a wonderful year for me too. Apart from it zooming past me exceptionally faster than 2008, I think it zoomed pretty well. Today's musings might not capture the whole of 2009 but here's some: The good things in 2009: The beautiful people around me, my family, friends, we all grew stronger. The university friends, I'm blessed to have made good friends from the sea of people in there. Am thankful that along the way, I've met good people. To sum this up, thank you to everyone who has been there. Each and everyone of you made my year by many, little different ways and although my dedication of time might be lesser to some, but do keep in mind that it is the quality and not quantity that matters. So thank you, I appreciate all my lovelies (: The Usuals Formation (haha), am grateful for this! I finally got the
