Life of Pi

This is a much delayed post. But I think Life of Pi is probably the best movie I've watched in 2012. You'll probably be marveled by the awesome visual effects and the unrealisticness of the plot, just like I was. But at the end of any story, we always look for the general takeaways we can bring with us home. And we would like to know what are the lessons we can learn from the story and what is the meaning behind it. Life of Pi is a story about hope, faith and perseverance. It's personally an inspiring movie for me with so much meaning, wisdom and symbol behind the actual story itself.
Faith is a house with many rooms.
But no room for doubt?
Oh plenty, on every floor. Doubt is useful, it keeps faith a living thing. After all, you cannot know the strength of your faith until it is tested.

Reclaiming my voice

It has been more than 2 years since I published anything on this blog. I have written a few reflections quite abit during this time, but they are mostly in draft versions, probably reflective of the scatteredness of my thought processes, or the ongoing engagement with the topic which has yet found a proper resolve (or is there ever a resolve really?), or just me finding mere words to articulate my thoughts that are waiting to be entertained and possibly verbalised or written. Information vs. Knowledge

Infinity

unbounded to any definitions or limits, existing but not adequately known. this entity, being constantly talked about, pulls like an unbeatable gravitational force. we are always approaching, almost touching, existing in tandem, still, not yet meeting Infinity the eventual meeting where there are no bounds
